Digital Camera Class Dec. 30, 2008

Six people attended the Digital Camera Class at the Swift Current Public Library. We were able to show them the basic features of the camera and also show them some of the more advanced features. Everyone walked away having learned something. The students learned about using the macro feature on the camera for taking pictures really close. They learned how to use the timer on the camera. They learned about the different settings on the camera, like portrait, landscape and night mode. They also were shown how to take a video using the digital camera.
We showed them how to put their pictures onto the computer.
It was an enjoyable class of learning.

MS PowerPoint is what all the cool kids want to know!

Well maybe not all the cool kids, but at least this local student.
We made up some slides for a presentation using photos from her trip to Regina and Minneapolis. Then we spent most of our time having fun with animating slide transitions. We have a bunch of applications available for training, click here to find out more.

Dec. 4, 2008

For Computer Training at the Library we have been focusing more on helping people who are coming in to use the public computers. I was able to help this lady save pictures that she recieved in a email from her family. She was then able to do what she needed to with the pictures. She was just unsure of where the pictures were being saved and where she could save them.
